Yıldız Şermet, who in her art generally prefers wire as a material, is having her 4th solo exhibition at Galeri Apel, choosing for theme line as a pictorial language. The exhibition shows the influence of perspective and line as seen in the art of the miniature, and features not only wire but such varied materials as pins, needles and nails.

The artist has taken the depictions common to the miniature, reworking them with lines formed by wire to explore both the expressive style of that genre and also the relationship of the traditional and our day.
